hello!
i'm using media mover and i really like the flexibility of the module! but i have a problem with the ffmpeg conversion for video. i have one mm configuration - video to flv conversion. so i harvest the cck field, transform it via ffmpeg, store it back to the cck field i took it from and addtionally i complete it by saving it in the same folder, as the other video files.
it works fine - the conversion is great, but then mm doesn't seem to stop anymore. it produces and produces loads of flv files and adds it to the nodes and in two different directories on the server. first in the directory i asked it to store the files and then in the own media_mover directory.
funny thing is, that it is not doing with EVERY file - i haven't quite figured out, which secret commands mm is following. this is my directory sites/default/files/video (where the video files are stored and where i asked mm to move them back to):

nice shapes, but not what i really need. according to that, the files get listed on the node. so it looks ugly and is for nothing.
additionally i have a player over swf-tools, which is searching for my files in public/sites/default/files/media_mover/ffmpeg/converted but can of course not find them, as they get stored in a subdirectory called 3. i guess this is another issue though, but not sure, as i try to read out the db tables into a node-video.tpl.php. interestingly enough it does play ALL my flv videos only with this codestring:

?>so actually pointing to ONE video, but one for all?!
of course i would first appreciate any help regarding to the mm problem, because it's really growing and growing (i have no cronjob running regarding mm and also no other automatisation!!).
but as it has to do with directories as well, it may be even connected.

Yes. this is basically a loop. I run into the same problem. What happens is that the script feeds the data back to the same CCK, which then gets collected and reprocessed and then the loop repeats itself...

i understand. what's the way out? is it then simply not possible to feed the stuff back in the cck field? or is there a work around maybe? i haven't found anything in the documentation of mm that this setup would not be possible....
additionally mm got stuck now and is sending emails to the users: mover, stuck, media and job. they don't exist of course which causes a massive amount of emails from the server with unknown user of course.... how can i turn this feature off? i have ticked, that mm should notice me, when it takes too long, but i put my email there.

You may want to update to the latest dev.
So your pulling data that you put into a CCK field (did you add through mm or manually?) and your using MM to convert the item and place back into cck field?
This might be a little weird, but have you though about pulling the data from CCK, deleting the data from cck, converting, adding newly created details to cck?
Are you able to delete items at any time?

The loop issue should be taken care of. The only main concern at this point is storing non-local files to CCK. This can cause lots of headaches.

I can confirm with latest dev, storing files on S3 and linking back to same CCK field that original harvest was from still causes this loop.

I should mention I am not converting files to flv, just harvesting flv files from CCk field, moving to S3 and then linking back.
