After entering the database information, the page just reloads with no error messages. Checking the site's settings.php file reveals that the server is writing the correct information, so I am not sure what's preventing the installer from continuing.

Any help is greatly appreciated. There is another problem at hand: Even if I have an accurate settings.php in this site's folder, and import a freshly installed database, I am still directed to install.php. I spent a good bit reading over bootstrap.php, bootstrap.inc, install.php, and install.inc, but I cannot determine the place where Drupal decides to redirect the site to install.php.

Please note that this is a multi-site installation and that the hostname is correctly mapping to its matching sites folder (proven by it accurately writing to the file during installation).
