For hosting drupal websites, is godaddy hosting recommended? i see that the offer drupal as part of the hosting. OR is it just for basic drupal sites. will i be able to setup or modify modules, themes etc with godaddy hosting or should i take my site elsewhere?

GoDaddy is not a good choice for Drupal hosting, there are many threads in this forum talking about it. But it's just for performance, you still can setup, modify modules as you want there if you want.

Absolutely not.
Their servers are deadly slow.

reprint.. What can I say, when someone does a great job for me.. pass the word.
They are in the list as Holistic Solutions..
I have been at http://www.HotDrupal.com for a while now and it's a great place.
Managed VPS, easy price, great support, hybrid servers, optimized just for Drupal.
I do know one thing for sure.. lol.. the servers fly, my sites run very fast without any fancy cache stuff. I am running 75 to 80 modules with videos.

I am extremely dissatisfied with Godaddy. Slow ftp, slow loading and terrible control panel. Customer service is usually 10 min. hold so email support others is probably faster. In the process of switching a small non profit site to BlueHost. I have been happy with Imageleet but BlueHost seems to offer more for less. Hopefully performance will be ok.
