The paths options all seem to work fine, but trying to switch themes based on parent menus, or fields I have created using CCK don't work. Its possible I'm missing something... but it seems pretty straight forward. Thanks for the help :)

My mistake. I set up the module properly, asking to display a different theme for a specific node type. But the node I was trying to view with the different theme didn't have to correct type set. It is working for me now.
