Hi,
I'm building a D6 site and plan to theme it using several Zen Sub-themes. I'd like to remove Zen, Zen Classic, and Zen Themer’s Starter Kit from /admin/build/themes/select and present the site admins only the sub-themes I've styled.
I'm assuming I can drop Zen Classic and Zen Themer’s Starter Kit by simply deleting the appropriate folders. However, since Zen is the parent theme, I'm unaware of how to remove/hide it from Administer » Site building » Themes list.
How is this accomplished?
Thanks!
-NP

Ashford commentedI don't have a direct answer for you; but, I do have a suggestion. Create a test site on your home computer. It's a good way to try out techniques and modules. I didn't do the test site install for a long time because I thought it would be too technical for my experience level. I wish now that I had done it on day one.
You can find links to Creating a test site on a local computer in the Drupal Getting Started >Installation Guide at http://drupal.org/getting-started/install.

mjohnq3 commentedThanks, I have many locally installed test sites but I still can't find a way to do this.
See this issue I posted some time ago: http://drupal.org/node/485168. If Jeff Burnz can't figure out a way to do it, it very likely can't be done.

sperks commentedYou could always strip down the zen theme to provide nothing but layout css. You could also go through a process of renaming the theme (leaving all the appropriate acknowledgements in place) and changing all the references to "zen" from within the two themes.
*actually, scrub that. http://drupal.org/node/245802 explains well why this would be a bad idea...
