Perhaps I've missed this, but is it currently possible to designate that a given plugin only be invoked on certain pages? What I have in mind is similar to how blocks and certain modules such as Lightbox2 work. This would enable me to streamline general performance a bit more without requiring the creation and administration of special content types and/or template files.

I'll leave this as a Support Request for now. Again, if I've overlooked something I would appreciate pointers.
