DrupalCon Paris: Early Bird registration now open

jpoesen - May 26, 2009 - 00:20

Register now for Drupalcon Paris 2009

Almost 3 months have passed since Bonnie and her team performed the ultimate party trick: materializing a 1400 people conference out of thin air.

In the meantime many of you have been organizing camps, launching client projects, training new developers, contributing new modules and crafting beautiful designs. You have been extending core, writing tests, attacking patch queues, reshaping D7 and madly sprinting to keep ahead of the impending code freeze.

You are awesome. Really. You are what drives the DrupalCon Paris team. You make us want to put together a DrupalCon to remember. All the hours we spend selecting the right wine, cheese and pastries and the nights away from our families hand-picking the perfect hotel rooms and apartments... it's all for you.

Because we love you.

Come check out what we have in store for you. The new paris2009.drupalcon.org is ready to take your orders. Be quick: the early bird ticket price isn't going to last forever...

For those of you who want to become a sponsor and help make this DrupalCon happen: have a look at the sponsorship opportunities and don't hesitate to contact us.

Early Bird price?

tgeller - May 26, 2009 - 01:46

How long *does* the "Early Bird" price last? Until a certain date? Until NNN people have bought one?

Early Bird Price

matthewcates - May 26, 2009 - 13:11

Does the early bird price include the price of the flight or does it just cover DrupalCon Tickets?

Now that would be a deal!

spatz4000 - May 26, 2009 - 13:38

Now that would be a deal!

Signed,

Mid June or earlier

jpoesen - May 26, 2009 - 16:38

The new DrupalCon site looks nice!

Unfortunately, Paris is pretty far from Ottawa :(

Drupal Modules - Find the module you need for your project!

Agreed, but come on...what

jpoesen - May 26, 2009 - 16:39

Agreed, but come on...what better excuse do you need to come to Paris?

And.... !

mtopolov - May 27, 2009 - 00:16

And it would be mucher more easier to convince your GF/Wife to come to Paris rather than a Drupal Con... :))))))

Day care

greg.harvey - May 27, 2009 - 12:31

My wife and I both want to attend - wondering how firm the Day Care options are? Don't want to arrive and find my wife or I have to spend half the conference babysitting!! =(

At the moment the website says "Some potential activities" and lists "creche" but the use of the word "potential" alarms me!
http://paris2009.drupalcon.org/practical/socialprogram

Itching to sign us both up, but need to know there will *definitely* be a creche first!

Yes.

jpoesen - May 27, 2009 - 19:42

Thanks for pointing out the site is still very vague about this.

In short: yes.

As we speak, the user profile fields are being updated to include family information. At some point we're going to close the option of indicating you want to bring your kids so we have a clear view of how many wee little 'uns to care for and what age groups we're talking about.

We'll announce this process very shortly and make a fuss so everyone is aware day care *will* be provided, as promised in DC.

Joeri.

Reg form: Number of kids defaults to 1

Troodon - June 1, 2009 - 09:02

Hello,
Im not sure if it's intended but on the registration form (http://paris2009.drupalcon.org/user/register) the Number of Kids field (in Daycare) defaults to 1 rather than none. That might throw off your numbers a bit?

Thanks

jpoesen - June 1, 2009 - 11:43

No, that was not intended. It's now corrected. Obviously it would throw off the stats quite a bit. Good catch!

At any rate we'll be contacting all the parents for a final confirmation on the number of kids they'll bring, their ages and specific needs.

Thanks
Joeri
