Limiting/Unlimiting Teaser article on homepage

Hi all,
I've got a random article showing on the homepage using views, and it's currently showing the full article rather than a teaser..
How can I limit the number of characters it shows on the homepage?

..does that make sense? =P

I went in the settings for 'Row Style' under the Basic Settings and the Build Mode dropdown is selected as 'teaser'...
Is there anywhere else to define the number of characters a teaser shows or something?

Ok, I see what happened. The

Ok, I see what happened. The short version character limit was in the 'Post settings' was set at no limit...
And I had to re-save all the articles for it to show the limit. It sets the teaser limit on save - not on load.
Hope this helps someone in the future =P
