When adding a node to a menu using menu settings, is there a way to make it jump by default to a particular position?
For example, say my site uses Primary links, when the user clicks there, the list in the drop-down goes up from Primary links, when it would be more user-friendly for it to go down (or for Primary links to be in the middle).
The weight of a menu item is the same. When a user clicks on 0, the drop-down appears with 0 at the bottom, with all the negative numbers above, and the positive numbers not showing.
A lot of my clients get confused by this - is it possible to change this behaviour?

Menu Settings per Content Type
The Menu Settings per Content Type module looks to be the answer http://drupal.org/project/ctm but if you're using Drupal 5, then the 5.x.1.0 download doesn't work, use the version in the zip file in this issue http://drupal.org/node/390244
