Hi everyone,

a client of mine is encountering a very strange problem that no-one here has been able to figure out. The client uses 2 PCs to log onto the Drupal site. When using pc1 everything is fine but when using pc2 she keeps getting an access denied message from the site. This is despite using the same login, trying different browsers as well as trying other people's logins (all of which work on other computers). PC1 runs a minimal system with very few applications/utilities whilst the problem PC has anti-spyware software etc. installed on it. When I use her login to access the site from a number of Macs at my end, everything is fine so it's just the one pc. What's got us stumped though is that it's the site throwing up the "access denied" message, not the PC or other software.

Has anyone here encountered similar problems or have any suggestions?

Many thanks.

can that troublesome PC access the front page of a drupal's site?

how about browsing other web sites? like google?

how about browsing a Drupal page that's allowed for anonymous users?

if all answers are OK. my wild guess is "Cookie" - check if that pc allow (accept) cookie

.. just a wild guess ..

good luck.

Hi,

yes it can access the same site, just can't log-in. Will definitely have a look at the cookies.

Thanks.

I own a b2b IT company and have built a custom CMS on top of the drupal framework... we are having the same issue with one of our techs... they can login from some computers and not from others... using any login including the root user. It is very frustrating.
