this has been bothering me.

how do I get breadcrumbs to work? there is barely any documentation on this at all

I think that theme was removed from D6 according to the project page.. I believe it is because they do not have the tpl files or something like that...

However, i have yet to remove it from one of my sites, and i just checked it, the bread crumbs are working on mine.. My set up is all stock or out of the box.. I am removing that theme now since it is not supported.
The bit of code that makes or gets the trail is in the chameleon.theme file.

I was just looking for another theme that you could use that has no style like cheamillion.... maybe try project/whitejazz
