Hey all. I'm in need of the "sub product" functionality to let customers buy by color, size etc., but i see this modules was discontinued, and it doesn't look like I'll be able to use drupal 5 for my project.

Just wondering if there're any alternatives that'll provide roughly the same functionality? Thanks.

I do not think there is. Unless someone has been working on it without saying anything then it is not very likely.

Actually you don't need to start from stratch, but use subproducts from the 5.x-4.x-dev release and upgrade it to Drupal 6 and ec4

Maybe I'm missing something, but isn't the need for this type of module pretty important on an ecommerce site? I mean, don't a lot of products come in multiple sizes and/or colors? I'm still using the 5.x-3.x subproducts module (even though it's unsupported and acting wonky). Is there another way in 6.x-4.x to offer this type of product variation without it?

Still alpha code, but at least something is happening.
