Just an option to turn it into a proper IM system - allow replying from the notification - if that is possible.
Not needed, but it could be good (as long as it is optional).
Either way, great module - the users on my site love it.

Dave.Ingram commentedThanks! I had thought of that when first writing this and getting it functional was first priority. I think we've about got all the kinks worked out, so I'd love to get this in there. I don't have time to try to code this at the moment, but I will leave this issue open and if anyone would like to tackle it I'll review a patch for this feature in a heart beat. Otherwise, I'll take it on when I have a little time to work on it.

liliplanet commentedYes love the idea that we would be able to continue a conversation without having to go back to /messages to respond.
My biggest issue is with Private Message is that you cannot add a link in a custom view to send users a PM. Why I'm thinking about this is if I have a view of User Relationships, to have a link to chat or PM my friends would be awesome.
Fabulous module, thank you, and looking forward to the new developments!

would it be possible to also include or option for the message sender's name be displayed on the pop-up?

I was going to suggest this as well, for the D7 version.
