dries commentedThis is probably due to the fact that your webserver can't make outgoing HTTP requests.
I just improved the error handling in DRUPAL-6 HEAD. You should get a better error with the next version of Mollom.

danon1981 commentedHoi Dries,
I checked with my hosting provider and they confirmed they blocked al outgoing http requests.
if I have the IP-address the request go's to they can white list it to enable Mollom's functionality for me and their other customers.
Is there a list of addresses that need to be white listed for Mollom to function properly?
looking forward to start using Mollom, it looks like a great service!!
Thanks in advance,
David

danon1981 commentedIt's working, my keys are verified now!
I contacted them straight away and they added the IP-adresses to the white list.
Thanks for helping out, much appreciated!!
