This is pretty low priority IMO, but it's something that's part of #472590: Meta-issue: Make posting form more like phpBB's so I'll mention it here.

PHPBB gives you the option to turn off BBCode, smileys, and auto-URL parsing on a per-post/reply basis.

To be honest, I always thought this was a silly feature. The only thing I can see being useful is turning off your signature for that post. There may be times where what's in your signature isn't appropriate to the nature of the post (ie: your siggie shows the ages of your kids and you're posting to someone who just had a miscarraige). The rest of the options I can't even think of a use case for.
