For some search terms I put into Amazon Search (www.sitename.com/search/amazon_search), I get back around four or five results, but searching for the same terms on Amazon.com returns pages and pages of results. How does the amazon_search component work? Is this limitation on the number of results based on something that I may be overlooking on the core Search module settings or something that may just be inherent in Amazon's search engine?

Thanks!
Andrew G

It may be important to note that this tends to happen when entering author's names more often than entering titles. That might have something to do with it. Not sure. Thanks!

The Amazon search provided by this module is fairly rudimentary, but that's not the only issue. It's also the case that Amazon's API is not completely predictable, so you do not always get what you expect back, and it does not always match Amazon.com.

Thanks. Yeah, I also found that changing the ItemSearch attribute "SearchIndex" to something other than "blended" helped give more of the results I was looking for, specifically for "books," "digitalmusic," etc. (see the other SearchIndex options here - http://docs.amazonwebservices.com/AWSEcommerceService/4-0/ApiReference/S...).
