Things of note:
- #474944: Show "New topic" / "Mark as read" buttons both above and below forum "New topic" buttons / "Mark all as read" are on the top and bottom.
- There's also a summary of number of topics and number of pages at the top and bottom.
- #474868: Add 'search within this forum' box There's a "search within this forum" form.
- #474952: Add "Announcements" feature There's a separate "Announcement" publishing option in the same place as "Sticky" which themes those in a their own box.
- #472604: "Topic icon" functionality When a "Topic icon" is used, it gets overlaid on the normal icon.
- When a topic has an attachment, it has a little paperclip icon next to it.
- #474958: Move created information under topic There is no "Created" column; the created data is smooshed in with the title.
- There is a "Views" column.
- #474960: "Last reply" => "Last post" "Last post" shows the original post if there are no comments, not "n/a".
- #474962: Add "Filter topics by date" functionality There is an exposed filter at the bottom for filtering by date: All topics, 1 day, 7 days, 2 weeks, 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, 1 year.
- There are exposed sorts at the bottom for sorting by author, post time, replies, subject, and views and ascending/descending
- #474966: Add "Jump to" forum navigation box There is a "Jump to" box for easy navigation between forums.
- #474998: Remove icon key There is no key to what the icons mean at the bottom.

Might want to get with NeoID and his work to clone the PHPBB default theme. See the screenshot in http://drupal.org/node/462502#comment-1621696 for an example.
