We have an immediately need for a Sr. Web Developer with PHP, Drupal and MySQL experience for a 3 month contract for a mission critical project. There is the potential to turn this into a permanent opportunity as there are other projects needing these types of skill sets. Candidate will work in leading the development team through design, requirements base lining, software development, testing, and deployment operations. Effective interaction and coordination with the project team is critical for project success. The candidate should have a strong understanding and experience of web development using PHP, Drupal, MySQL, web system architecture, software development life cycle and best practices.

Responsibilities include:

Leads and coordinates the design, development, implementation of the web system
Researches, analyzes, recommends and implements new tools, technologies, standard processes and techniques.
Creates appropriate web system architecture that meets the technical requirements
Understands security requirements and implements appropriate tools and technologies to satisfy those requirements.
Reviews requirements and programming designs to ensure efficient use of resources and application of technologies.
Gains understanding of the customer's organizational strategic direction, technical environment, technology context and business needs.
Coaches and provides technical leadership to the team members on the application of technologies, process and system development methodologies.
Identifies, develops, updates and enforces standards and procedures.
Monitors and ensures resolutions to system problems and issues.
Skills

Development and support of web-based DB applications using PHP, Drupal, MySQL and related technologies.
Knowledge of CVS/SVN tools and change control procedures
Web systems architecture and security
Solid written and oral communications
