I just tried to install the 6.x version and none of the tables are installed.

I see both troll_install and troll_schema in troll.install and troll_schema returns the array. Had you previously installed it way back before it did blacklist tracking and not uninstalled? Are you missing your troll.install file? Did you get any error messages in admin/reports/dblog ? What version of Drupal?

This was a clean install on a Drupal 6.12 site.

I'm circling back because I installed troll on three 6.12 machines in the past few days and all installed the same way:

1) Enable module, check db tables -- no troll tables.
2) Disable module
3) Uninstall module
4) Enable module, check db tables -- troll tables are now installed properly.

I'm not sure what this means but I wanted to document it.
