Jquery Media inheriting width from media

I am using the JQuery media / Filefield solution for displaying quicktime files on my site and its working great, however not all of the quicktime files uploaded are the same size. Is there a way for me to have JQuery's "Media Width" attribute take its size from the media's metadata?

Also, I am trying to turn off the background color, however can't seem to override the "bgcolor" parameter with any sort of "transparent" or "none". Is there any way to do this? I've tried looking on JQuery's page (http://www.malsup.com/jquery/media/), but can't find an answer, and even if I did, I don't understand how to implement the overrides mentioned there in drupal.
