Per #472934: Meta-issue: Make topic listing look more like phpBB's:

- There is no key to what the icons mean at the bottom.

I don't think this is that big of a deal, and actually kind of appreciate a guide to what those silly things mean. But documenting it nonetheless.

Personally, I would won't fix this. IIRC, your goal isn't to clone phpBB exactly but to make the forums more usable, and having a guide to what the icons mean helps that, I think.

I agree, though TBH a checkbox option as to whether or not to display them could still be valuable. But that is not super important.
