kreynen commentedThe policy regarding 3rd party code is likely changing. While the LWG is not granting exceptions to include code or assets yet, we are also not enforcing that part of the current policy for code and assets that will likely be granted an expection. In this case, all versions of the OSL licenses are incompatible with all version of the GPL.
As a result this would never be approved and needs to be removed.
I'm going to follow the process @gisle has outlined for the LWG to see how well this works. That process is still being reviewed privately, but a public version should be available for community feedback soon.
Because this project has so little usage and is already unsupported with no future development, this should be a relatively easy issue to resolve.

Homotechsual commentedthanks kreynen,
Just trying to see what issues I can clear from the webmaster queue - this seemed like a doddle to check :-)
kreynen commented@MJCO yep. Since licensing issues have ended up in queues all over Drupal.org for years and haven't been handled consistantly, we are very aware that issues like this will continue to emerge from the woodwork for some time. Please keep moving them as you find them!
I think we have a very reasonable, well thought out plan for dealing with licensing and 3rd party code and assets moving forward. Really looking forward to making that public.

gisleFotonotes is marked as unsupported, with no packaged release. Last commit was 8 years ago. Closing.
If somebody wants to make this supported again, licensing need to be sorted out.
