Activity 6.1 Integration broken

So I've upgraded a site to D6 (fbs 2.0b3 & Activity 1.2). Now, weirdly, it appears as if fb_statuses are not recorded by the activity module - they're not displaying) yet every time a status is recorded an activity item (node or comment) vanishes from the activity blocks (if no other items are being posted). So, if I simply post fb_statuses (without posting anything else, node or comment) the activity module registers some sort of response but does not display the fb_status.

And yes, I've run through all the steps to installing either module properly on a new database to test this. I'm going to go through eliminating other modules just to make sure there's no conflict.
