I have date field for birth date set up as a profile field, I also have the birthday module installed. I set the minimum age as 13, but people are still able to register with their birth date as Jan 1 2009. I have the birthday field set required on registration, and to private, I don't know if that makes any difference or not. It's like the validate module is doing nothing at all, it's weird.

I read in another thread that the birthday module and the validate age module could be used together, and you could set the validate module to use the same date field as the birthday module, but they're not the same field. So on the registration form, it shows up like you have to enter your birthday twice. Where is this option for the birthday module and the validate age module to share the same field data?

you can use the module with the patches I provided 2 month ago applied. then it should work. please report back after testing so the patches finally make it into the module!

I think it is safe to assume that #391884: Option to validate existing profile date field fixes this problem - reopen otherwise.
