Description

Hi , thanks for this module. Signature is my last step before upgrading to 6 so I was very happy to find a replacement for the old signature module. My problem is the signature set in comments module under the account-edit tab is showing in the Textarea . It can be deleted and a comment/post made and the signature appears at the end of the new comment as expected , but I'm hoping someone can advise me how I might stop it appearing in the textarea at all, or for that matter why it is ?
I'd be very grateful to be pointed in the right direction. Having taken my site from 4.7 all the way here , one step from going 6 , I've learnt a lot , so just need a guidance on what to do/try.
Thank you

Not sure I understand the question.

You're asking why the signature appears in a textarea in the user edit tab? It needs to appear there, otherwise users won't be able to edit their signatures! :)

Is there some other problem, like users being able to edit each others' signatures, or something like that?

Hi Liam , thanks for answering and sorry about the vagueness. The signature is appearing fine in the user edit Tab. No problems .
I'm talking about it appearing at the top of all textareas when a user makes a new post or adds a comment/reply . Its up there at the top of every textarea.

I am pretty sure now this issue is not related to this module. On a test user the old signature is what is appearing at the top of all textareas . How I stop that I have no idea . I guess its a hangon entry in the database and relates to either the old signature module or the comment module. I used the clear embedded signature of this module , but that doesn't clear it . I should take this to forums and seek an answer there . Sorry to add to the issue queue of this terrific module. Delete it if you wish , I'm documenting my experiences as a user and will publish elsewhere.

okay , I cant help myself . I have to ask . Shouldn't this module be escaping the core comment module signature ie replacing it . Its not doing so in my case. Old signatures remain in place. Just wondering :) EDIT - and now I know whats going on with drupal signature handling ... ewwwwww. I'll close this if I can . Very nice module this one . Thanks
