Let's connect and start a local user/developer group.

I head a young nonprofit, and we are using Drupal for our main site, as well as building a social networking site with it. I'd really like to connect with other Drupalers in the area.

Hello. I am also starting up a site and have gotten past the installation issues. I took the long route and installed each piece ala carte. I am currently running drupal 5.1. I would like to find someone I can try to bounce quick questions off of. Interested?

I am runing Drupal-5.1 on an intranet server just for developing applications and so you wont see my site online.

I'm in the Long Beach area... so I'd be game for an OC user group too/instead -- but would make a trek to meet in Torrance/LAX area -- or possibly downtown LA area. Game for meeting virtually

Ironic I saw this post, as I was |---| this close to starting a local Drupal Meetup.com group today. I chickened out because a search for "Drupal" brought up nada.

I'm in Long Beach, as well. I use Drupal for my personal site (live theme sucks right now, am CSS-Rebooting on May 1), but I adore it and would like to expand my knowledge-base with other Drupalers. My husband is entirely sick of hearing me yack about how awesome Drupal is, so this seems like a perfect outlet.

I am willing to meet in north OC or as far as LAX area. Family lives in Glendale, so could possibly make it up that far north if meeting places change.

I just created a "Southern California" group at groups.drupal.org (http://groups.drupal.org/southern-california). I would encourage everyone who posted here and anyone else in SoCal to join up there and subscribe to the RSS feed. Maybe this will be a step in the direction of some face-to-face meetings!
