You might want to make the text on http://www.ventaboutlife.com/node/add more descriptive?
Also with an open submit field, you risk a spam invasion... maybe look at Mollom if you've not done so already

I'm also new with Drupal. I think your site is cool, but my first impression is that you've maybe should use green in your logo instead of red, or vice versa (meaning that you change the green fonts to red and keep the logo). You see what I mean?
