Three popular ways of having a site map.

XML Sitemap is for search engines such as Google.
Site Map generates a page on your site with a site map.
Footermap generates a site map as a footer block.

There isn't any reason to adopt an XML sitemap; most of the search engines will accept a RSS / ATOM feed, and if you installed Views, you can create many RSS feeds.

Hey,

I got this to work on my site by using this module : http://drupal.org/project/site_map

Just download the zip file , put the folder in your module directory , go to the admin/build page and then enable it.

Try it

I don't know why it's not working for me
It's working on /sitemap.xml and show and update links.
But after adding to google site map, I got the following error:

General HTTP error: 404 not found
We encountered an error while trying to access your Sitemap. Please ensure your Sitemap follows our guidelines and can be accessed at the location you provided and then resubmit.

when I save that on static page like /sitemap.html
It's working fine ...
