I have imageMagick selected in the image toolkit section, shouldn't animated gif's remain animated with imagemagick?
Thumbnails are static though, why is this?

Ok, so i tried clicking 'rebild derivative images", and nothing changed. So I went into cpanel and deleted the thumbnail, so it was rebuilt on page load. The resulting animated gif is horrible. It seemed to have randomly cropped instead of resized it, so you get this moving jumping mess of a thumbnail.
It really can't do better than this?

As seen on http://drupal.org/node/408474, animated gifs are problematic, and I don't think there's anything we can do about it, at least not in this module.
