Mailhandler and Messaging modules simulate a listserv?

I have installed mailhandler and the messaging framework modules and have configured to recieve emails from an email account that then creates a node type when an email is sent to that account. I then have a subcription to those node types that then sends out the content and notification when a node of that type is created. So far so good. However when sending out the email to all subscribers the mail header 'From:' is always the main 'site' email and the header 'To:' is to email of the subscriber. I would like to have the 'From: header be the authors email address or link (name) and the 'To:' to be the email account address. It wouold thus simulate a listserv app. Any thoughts on this? Will the mailhandler and or the message modules need to be modified?
