the node title is ignored by Smarty Pants, not to mention refusing to use basic characters like —

since the node title is the most prominent part of the page, to have it stuck with the most basic of text is not a good thing. but i've been unable to find a single means of making SP work there or any other workaround (i have found other forum entries like this, but they were ignored....)
