I just refurbished my website and I wan't to welcome back user's and show them nice info, but only once, before they will be redirected into actual website, I was thinking about cookies, and custom code which I would just put into textarea in modules' settings (without changing anything in module).

The splash.module might be able to do that for you, or, here's a php script that uses cookies http://deadlytechnology.com/scripts/php/using-a-splash-page/
