In connection with #480198: Allow single tags for Journal entries, we are looking at writing some code that would allow for journal entries to be exported as lists, or in csv format.
In conjunction with tags for journal entries, this would allow the Journal module to be a killer tool for all types of documentation.
As mentioned in #480198: Allow single tags for Journal entries we are getting ready to do this work, but we want to coordinate this with you to ensure that we don't work at cross purposes.

sunHow about implementing Views 2 support? With that, you'd get the total freedom: http://drupal.org/project/views_bonus
Comment #2
bonobo commentedThat's what we are thinking as well.
bonobo commentedWe're definitely going with Views integration, for all the obvious reasons.

restyler commentedLooking forward to see these very useful changes.

evoltech commentedI have a patch that should be available by tomorrow which will include the functionality for this feature as well as the
Allow single tags for Journal entries feature. Since the functionality seems to overlap I would like to submit it as one patch. My question to the maintainers is would it be easy for me to submit this patch on top of the Journal entry does not save at admin/build/block patch, or should I just create the patch against trunk. Please advise.

sunI would prefer to get the coding-style fleshed out in #474422: Journal entry does not save at admin/build/block first, commit that patch, and afterwards continue with this and other issues — very possibly and hopefully without any coding-style issues then. Makes sense?
Thus, marking as postponed.

bonobo commentedSee #480198: Allow single tags for Journal entries -- once the patch in that thread is committed we will move forward with this.
