Hi everyone,
I'm looking for a way to add a custom link in the header and the footer of my views which link should be tokenized to redirect to the right page.
Is it possible to do it with the actual version of Views ?
Thanks,

merlinofchaos commentedCurrently Views supports only default Drupal filters, so this is not possible.
Also, 'needs work' is a very bad status to pick. You should choose only 'active' when creating a new issue.

dirksonii commentedThis issue is still active and shouldn't have been closed.
(Stupid auto-close. Not a useful feature.)
dawehnerI doubt this!
merlinofchaos commented#3: It was a support request with a question. The question was answered. Thus: Closed.
It is a fact that sometimes the answer is "you can't do that."
That's how we keep the issue queue clean. If you can count 900+ active issues as clean, which I actually can't. But it could be worse. If we left stuff like this open it'd be more like 2000+.

dirksonii commentedSorry, no, this issue is not fixed or resolved in any way.
Trying to be fair to you guys, I guess you could won't-fix this issue instead of resolving it - I don't feel it's an appropriate use of won't fix, but I've only ever seen one won't fix that I actually agreed with, so perhaps my judgement is suspect.
merlinofchaos commentedWow. So you think that just because you DEMAND a feature it's okay to repeatedly open the issue despite comments to the contrary.
When you are the maintainer of this project, please feel free to override me.
Until then, your behavior is ill-advised and inappropriate.
My response in #5 stands. "You can't do that" is an answer. We are absolutely not under any obligations, whatsoever, to provide more than that.
The question was asked. The question was answered. You didn't like the answer. That's just too bad.

merlinofchaos commentedPlus, the issue is TWO YEARS OLD. Good grief.
dirksonii commentedIndeed, the issue is two years old. This is part of my point, I'd say :D
Anyway, although I don't agree with the current "won't fix" status, it's more useful to future people having this issue than pretending the issue is fixed.
merlinofchaos commentedWow. No. You are completely deciding that our processes work a different way.
Support request gets filed with a question or an issue.
An answer is provided for the question. Regardless of the answer, it is marked 'fixed'. Fixed indicates the question was answered. Whether or not it is the answer the asker wanted is immaterial.

merlinofchaos commentedThis is because 'support requests' have a different workflow than 'bug report' or 'feature request'. 'task' also has a different workflow. Go check out the Views Bug Squad handbook, we have documented what our workflow is.
