I am using Opera 9.64 on Win32, D6, wysiwyg API 2.0, FileField Insert 1.x-dev.
When the image is send to editor (via FileField Insert), the resize-buttons around the image
are not available, this appears in Tiny and FCK, so it is not possible to resize the image with
the mouse.
in FCK it is at least possible to resize the image via the image-dialog. In Tiny the image-dialog
does not appear anymore, when the focus is on the image.
In contrast to this, I have no problems with FF, neither in FCK or Tiny. So either my Opera
doesn't like the specific JS-Code or something is wrong with the code. My Opera is vanilla,
no content-blocking etc.
thanks in advance for your help!

profjk commentedTrue. Works only with firefox and no other browser.
Let's look out for a fix.

quicksketchImage Resize Filter does absolutely nothing with the WYSIWYG editor or the node edit screen. It only affects the output based on the HTML. It sounds like this is a bug in tinyMCE or FCKeditor themselves (the JavaScript packages, not the Drupal modules).
I'm marking this fixed so it stays in the queue, but this doesn't have anything to do with Image Resize Filter and should be asked elsewhere.

dsms commentedsure you can say that this is a bug of the wysiwyg-editors, but you have to admit that the current situation this is not suitable for your users. if only FF is able to perform the resize-action, how much acceptance will your module have by users, when it is highly browser-sensitve?
you could at least recommend a wysiwyg editor that works for all browsers, or provide an alternate .js file that handles the resize-option by its own.
I know that your module is "just a filter", but if you want provide an easy-to-use module, there should be more than just an implementation of hook_filter, especially on the user-side ;)
I will do some tests with other wysiwyg editors that are supported by wysiwyg-api, maybe there is one that can provide some js-code that one could use for other editors too.

quicksketchThis module is not "browser sensitive" at all, that's what I'm saying. The problem of getting your WYSIWYG to work is problem for tinyMCE or FCKeditor. I personally like to use this module with plain textareas and FileField Insert, not even using a WYSIWYG at all. This isn't a problem for this module to fix.

andrewsuth commented@quicksketch: Firstly, it's a really interesting module and look like the real future for Drupal inline imaging editing. I also like your work on File Source.
Perhaps this isn't the right thread but I'd like to re-ask what dsms enquired about: Which of the WYSIWYG editors do you know to be the most browser compatible?

My mistake, i didn't read carefully a issue description. This patch is for another bug. I shouldn't fixed this. I'll move my patch to another issue

Hardcode commentedDid anyone found a WYSIWYG editor where image resize filter works in Opera. I tried all in WYSIWYG module but no one worked. Is there any other trick to get this working?
