Just found out that the only downloadable release (alpha1) contains broken install code.

You did fix it of course but it needs to be packaged as a 6.x-1.x-dev or 6.x-1.0 release. There should not be a dependency on CVS checkout.

Looks like the existing code is still slightly broken - it generates wrong URLs for the log page. The fix is trivial and is attached.

As an aside, there should be some settings as to how long to keep and how often to purge the logs.
