How can I fix this?

Make sure you download the 4.7 version and use it with one of Drupal 4.7 betas.

Do not mix versions.

Re-downloaded the 4.7 version, (just to be sure) and replaced it on the server.. same error.

It was a tag problem.

I tagged the latest version for 4.7.

Meanwhile you can use the cvs tar ball. It should work.
