Issue Summary

I had this module working great when I installed it two weeks ago--I went back to a page which I had password protected, and noticed that anonymous users no longer see a password field when requesting the protected page.

Authenticated users are still able to bypass protection, as per the user permissions I have set. Yes, I have set anonymous users permission to access protected content. And, it was working correctly last week.

Are there any known conflicts with other modules?

Here is the password protected page: http://www.rtoptheatre.org/q=callbacks

If you view the source of the page, you'll notice that absolutely nothing appears in the content section.

Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance!

No known conflicts with other modules.

If you get a white page, you should enable display_errors and startup_errors PHP variables and determine what's wrong by the error messages. Also the watchdog logs should contain PHP errors.

If you know more, please reopen.

Just to clarify, the page wasn't blank--the rest of the template still showed up (with the different blocks, menus, etc.). The only blank area was the main content zone, where the password block usually showed up.

The problem has since gone away...I think the only thing that I did was run cron. Does this module depend on cron?

Thanks again for a great module!

I have this same issue which I was thinking was due to my being on win2008/IIS7. Perhaps not.

I see the briefest flash of a link that says something like "to login....." so I think the redirect to a login page IS working. I see my content page but the content is not there. It is not a white screen - it is my template with the content missing. There is no field for password entry.

Getting the same problem with a Drupal 5 site too.

Head along to http://deepliving.com/node/355 and rather than a password prompt the body section of the page is blank, but the left & right sidebars are showing fine.

HI guys,

It sounds to me that none of you is still using this module. If you still have the problem, feel free to reopen the issue after testing with 6.x-1.x or 6.x-1.6.

It looks like the problem is that the module was somehow not redirecting your anonymous users properly.

Thank you.
Alexis Wilke

P.S. We do not support 5.x-1.x anymore.

My client has moved on through a number of designers and website since I posted so no longer an issue and no longer running any D5 sites :-)

#7

Many clients do that! 8-)

It could be an issue if you use this module again though 9-)
