I've actually never had this working and I've been using localsolr for a long time now. I always seemed to have to put a radius of 25 or higher to return results. I have a recent (urgent) change request for a radius of 5 and I can't seem to get any results (even with a radius of 24).

my startTier is 7 and endTier is 15.. Is there anything else I have to do here?

I also got same problems on Solaris machines. I tried with endTier 17 and it works for me. I also tried on Linux machine, didn't get this problem.
