Description
Cron job consistently fails, with the message Page Not Found 500.shtml. (500 is Internal Server Error). Non-fresh install, 4.6.3.
Disabling automatic backups in admin/settings/dba avoids the problem. I haven't been able to pinpoint it any further (not looking for assistance at this point).

#1
Backup directory "tmp" was not publicly writable. Meaningful error message would be ideal.
#2
When you specify a directory on the dba settings page, the field will be red and bold if the directory is invalid/unwriteable.
