This is what I read, and this is where I am stuck. I am using a Mac OS X (10.4.11) and I do not understand how it's possible to change permissions. I am a novice, but I guess we have to start somewhere at sometime!
I have duplicated the file 'default.settings.php' and changed the new file to 'settings.php'. Is this correct?
I have read the on-line handbook on how to grant file permissions, but I honestly don't know where to look.
Also, it says the following;
'The directory sites/default/files does not exist. An automated attempt to create this directory failed, possibly due to a permissions problem. To proceed with the installation, either create the directory and modify its permissions manually, or ensure that the installer has the permissions to create it automatically. For more information, please see INSTALL.txt or the on-line handbook.'
Anybodies help would be gratefully recieved.
