Blog ordering by date doesn't work in the block

I have the "Advanced Blog: bloggers" block enabled on our site. And there's an option in the settings to order the bloggers by name/post count/date, etc.

When I select to order them by post count, it works just fine, it puts the users with most entries to the top. However, when I order by date, I suppose to get the list so that user with the most recent post should be in first position, etc.
But it seems not working. When I order by date, then the order looks like this:
01/27/2009
05/11/2009
02/09/2009
04/28/2008
04/09/2008
09/16/2007
06/05/2009
06/03/2009
12/26/2008
05/09/2007

Where the dates are the most recent posts' date.

Also, if possible, I request a setting which would allow you to order the blogs on the advanced_blog page. Now the posts are ordered by name there. An option for "most recent" or similar would be nice.
