Moving comments to another node

Issue Summary

I would like to know how, if possible, to relate comments to other nodes besides the node originally commented on.

When deleting a commented node, it's comments also disappear. In our use case it is necessary at times to delete the node being commented on, but keep the comments. We would like to be able to preserve the comments and relate them to another node.

Is this possible?
