How to allow access to a child page in a book for certain Roles?

navs - June 8, 2009 - 03:28

I have a 3 roles, a "student", a "teacher" and a "parent". I want the parent to see one page which the child won't see, and I want the child to see pages that the parent won't see. And I have a "Teacher" who should be able to see all the pages, maybe even edit them.

I tried both node access module and book access module, but this seems more complex. Any help please?
Thanks

You may be able to get by with some combination of Coherent Access and Book Manager.

Both these modules are not able to achieve what I need.

I want the users with Role "Parent" to have access to book modules child pages.
How can I do this?

check this out: http://drupal.org/project/content_access
you can set access per roles for every node.

There has been an effort to do so. Check module book_page_access. It's still in development, but feel free to try it, and maybe contribute with bug reports... ;)
