Description

Hi,
Now that messages are going to be logged (http://drupal.org/node/426388) it would be nice to be able to define a message quota of how many messages an individual/IP-address is able to send. I know from personal experience that some people might consider abusing something like Author Contact, either by writing a script or just filling out the form themselves.

Perhaps logging and using the ip address to determine how many messages are already sent from that user might be the best solution, since people using Author Contact don't have to be logged into the system to send a message. Using the email as well as the IP address might also be an idea.

What do you think?

And any idea when the dev version will be released for testing?

Thanks.

Indeed. The drupal core contact form seems to have a 'flood control' feature, no idea what that specifically is, but I think it stops such abuse, worth looking into for author contact :)
