geo_data module uses zip_open which requires PECL Zip. http://www.php.net/zip_open This should be on the project page somewhere.

Yes, please add this in the project page. This is a bug, because they have a requirement section but nothing about the zip extension...

Just by curiosity, why you use the zip extension?
