CCK Context in Panels 2

Simple question: I need to pass a node's CCK Taxonomy Reference value to a view... but how?

I have seen the Drupal 5.x module for http://drupal.org/project/panel_style but that seems like it should be built into Views 2.x and Panels 2.x (yes I know about Panels 3.x, but I am on 2.x).
