Does not work at all?!

Description
I am using the latest D5 version (5.18).
I tried the textfield autocomplete module - but unfortunatetly it doesn't work at all on my site.
I inserted multiple values into the field for the possible values (For example: Haribo, Knorr, Maggi). I entered one value per line!
Then I tried the autocompletion:
I entered "Ha" - as I typed the letters into the field, the blue circle started to rotate but I didn't get any autocompletion.
Can somebody please tell what I did wrong?
