Frontpage slideshow installation problem

Hi there !

I installed the module and bought the code, but i can't make it run

I went by the "books" and create a block, to show only in the frontpage of my site, with the PHP code, after that i change de line of code that needed to be changed.... so far so good

but nothing shows up in my frontpage

I assumed that the problem seems to be in creation of the CSS folder, because i can't make it to be recognized in the module configuration.

Anyone has any idea where to put the folder named css ?? I already tried all posible places and create an empty folder named "css"

do i need to do anything else in order to make it work ??

thanks in advance for your support

what is the version of the

what is the version of the module?

We go the drupal way. How about you?
http://www.drupalway.com

Fpss-6.x-1.0-beta2 and Frontp

Fpss-6.x-1.0-beta2

and

Frontpage_slideshow_v2

.

1. The CCS Folder has to go into the folder of the theme you are using.

2. If you are using i18n you can screw fpss -> won't work together

3. Any watchdog entries?

1 - I create a Css empty

1 - I create a Css empty folder in every folder that exists in the fpss module folder.... and still don't recognize.... i also create a css folder in my drupal theme folder... and guess what.... nothing again :-(((

2 - No i18n installed in my drupal site

3 - No entries about that in my "recent log entries"

Something is messing with the css folder but i can't figure out what it is

Just to be sure

You did put the CSS folder at sites/all/themes/mythemename/ ?

As far as I remember this would be the place to put it.

.

yes i create a folder there too.

It is needed to be running the Jquery_update module in my drupal installation to work with fpss module? Cause i don't have ir installed

I cannot remember

but I don't think so. Of course you could try it.

I don't think I can help you more because it was a couple of weeks ago when I tried fpss. Good Luck!

same issue here

I have purchased fpss and installed the drupal module - I've gone over my install many times and still cannot get it to run - seems to be also having issues with the css folder I created.

(I have also installed the jquery update module)

my css folder is in my sites > default > themes > mycustomtheme folder

I've checked folder and file permissions (but maybe I'm missing something)

however I still get the error: The selected file /tmp/filename could not be uploaded, because the destination sites/default/themes/mycustomtheme/css/fpss-Default.css is not properly configured.

if anyone has a solution or idea about this greatly appreciated. I've spent a ton of time trying to work this out to no avail.

Solution

The module works fine, however, the instructions are a bit jaded. I ran into this problem last night and got it resolved in a matter of minutes. Wilco explains it in another forum post. Anyways, to get it working, simply write the full path name to a css folder outside of the fpss module. (By default, the path is set to "css")The most logical choice is your theme folder. So for me, the location was sites/all/themes/JV/css.

Hope this helps.

Frontpage slideshow

I installed the module and the code of fpss but it does not work. The settings are ok. When I display the clock I see a black block. Changing the settings I managed to see the images but not as supposed to be with the templates when I disabled JS library from settings.

Any suggestions??

Found the solution

It was the Otptimize JS option, needs to be set to NO

Works for me

Thanks @cmckay. That solution worked fine for me. In my case, I created the css folder within sites/all/modules/fpss/fpss - so naturally, the path I replaced 'css' in the input field with sites/all/modules/fpss/fpss/css

I need some help,i downloaded the fpss module and bought fpss plug but i have severals problems when i want to create a slide first:
The second and the fifth field (after selecting slideshow and after tagline) have no titles and i m getting an error message:
# warning: preg_match() expects parameter 2 to be string, array given in C:\wamp\www\chicos\includes\bootstrap.inc on line 777.
# warning: preg_match() expects parameter 2 to be string, array given in C:\wamp\www\chicos\includes\bootstrap.inc on line 777

second: what line of code has to be changed

Please some help,i m getting crazy!

#379236: reg_match() expects

I managed to install the module ok but when I activate the block, regardless of the template I use I just get images from slides appearing duplicated down the page with some crummy looking html links near them. Is there something I have missed?

ended up just installing it with the php script

I couldn't work out what the problem was so I just ended up installing it by copying and pasting the php script rather than using the contributed module - doesn't seem to work.

Permissions

You may need to change the permissions of the css folder to 777.
