Hello, and thank you for this module. It looks like it works fairly well, however, there does appear to be a significant bug, at least on my system --

Every screen refresh appears to send my cursor back to the first-character of the chat box -- even if I am typing midsentence.

For example: When I type in my messages on the Box, and then hit enter -- if I keep typing into the chat box, sometimes, even when I have typed a few more characters -- I will be automatically sent to the first character of the string -- even as I am typing midsentence.

So, even when I'm not finished typing my message, I sometimes (randomly, it seems) get sent back to the first character of the chat box -- and my message becomes garbled.

So, I'm not sure what to do. Thank you for your help.

I cannot reproduce this bug. I'm going to assume it has been resolved in the latest version.

i just starterd experiencing this exact same symptom on my gateway laptop running vista. its been working fine for years till today. now while writting a message on yahoo im it is continually jumping back to the first character of the box seemingly randomly scrambling the text, but i noticed it occurs at each screen event like a sound when you come to end of allowed amount of text, another chatter buzzing or even recieving a text msg. virtually anything that happens while texting sends my cursor back to the start, and makes me continually rewrite all my chat msgs. has anyone ever solved this problem and has a suggestion? i did a search for this problem and this was the only hit that turned up. i have seen this occur once before on a desktop running xp. but it was in a lybrary and i never used it again. now its happened to my laptop and it cripples chatting on im. which my fiancee over seas and i do every night. now i cahnt even talk to her. please help.
